Skyrim: 10 Vital Improvements They Must Make For Next Game

8. More Variety of Weapons

skyrim_sword Sure, wielding a variety of axes and swords was fun, such as war axes (or the larger, two-handed variety) and daggers and great swords, but I still feel as though there was a bit of a limitation in the weapons department. Dawnguard brought us the crossbow - which really should have been an addition to the game from the very start - and it was a fresh alternative to the sometimes-tedious combat of archery. What I want to see in the next game though is javelins, spears, lances and catapults, the latter of which could be used to hurl boulders at castles, but only in the civil war quest line. (Imagine how fun a catapult would be to use in the open world?) Javelins and spears would also be a welcome addition and much like the crossbow, would really freshen up the launched-object aspect of the game.
