Skyrim: 10 Vital Improvements They Must Make For Next Game

7. More Gore

skyrim_decapitation Skyrim could be a pretty gory game, in places, but only if you unlocked the "brutality" perk from the skill-tree when levelling up your character. Otherwise, combat and kill-cams could be relatively tame in comparison. Merely running a sword through someone's torso isn't enough. The ability to decapitate an enemy was a cool feature, but after unlocking this "perk", it happened far too infrequently and the randomised kill-cam mode seemed to reserve the animation for the boss or the last survivor of a dungeon. I also think that the "magika" element of the game could have incorporated more gore, such as disintegrating an enemy with a powerfully charged staff or a "shout". Whilst the ability to disintegrate a foe was possible in the game, I wanted to see body parts go flying everywhere rather than stumbling upon a neat pile of ash at the end of a battle.
