As the first giant's encampment that you're likely to stumble across when you finally escape the executioner's block at Helgen, Bleakwind Basin gives players their first look at Skyrim's most fascinating creatures; giants and mammoths.

Of course, we know there are dragons in the game, but they're a dime a dozen before too long and there's very little you can study about them save for how to slay them the quickest. For the giants and mammoths, however, there's virtually an entire community and hierarchy to their lifestyle.

As you're wandering away from the bored safety of Whiterun, getting your first glimpse at a giant or mammoth is a truly exciting experience. Approaching the camp is nerve-wracking and looks better than ever now. The camp itself bears all the scars of activity from its powerful inhabitants and the roving behaviour of the creatures themselves is still supremely engrossing to watch.
