Smash Bros Ultimate: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Final DLC

3. Crash Bandicoot

A few years ago, it looked like the manic marsupial’s time in the sun was over. However, with the roaring success of the N. Sane Trilogy followed by the hype for Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled, it feels like he’s back on top.

Granted, both of these games are remakes. The N. Sane Trilogy remastered the only three main series games which are universally loved, while CTR: NF is essentially a remaster of Crash Team Racing with the best bits of Nitro Kart and Tag Team Racing added in there too.

To truly solidify his return, he’ll need to knock it out of the park with a new original platformer; something sure to arrive in the future. Activision did recently call him and fellow throwback platformer Spyro their flagship franchises, after all.

For now though, he has a groundswell of support like he hasn’t since the turn of the century. There’d be a lot of excitement if he was added to Smash.

With the N. Sane Trilogy on the Switch, he fits the basic qualifications and while he was once PlayStation’s most juicy exclusive, he’s out there for the world to enjoy now.
