Smash Bros Ultimate: 10 Characters Who Could Be The Final DLC
4. Travis Touchdown
It’s hard to think of a game done so dirty by its release schedule as No More Heroes... maybe Titanfall 2.
No More Heroes was an ostensibly adult game from the bonkers mind of Suda51, the man behind Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer Is Dead. It follows Travis Touchdown, an anime fan who buys a katana beam at an auction, only to find himself suddenly at odds with the world’s greatest assassins.
So naturally, this hack and slash title invites you to brutally murder these assassins to keep yourself safe. Oh, and it was an exclusive for the Nintendo Wii.
The motion controls were undoubtedly fun, but the Wii had long made a name for itself as a family friendly toy; No More Heroes was much more suited to an older, more serious target market.
Still, it became a niche hit and scored a sequel, as well as a so-so Xbox and PlayStation port eventually; this was clearly a motion control game though and the port felt clunky, despite its potential.
In January, the game was somewhat rebooted with Travis Strikes Again, which felt like testing the waters. It obviously worked, as E3 announced a full sequel would be arriving on the Switch in 2020.
