It honestly boggles the mind where graphics go from here. Just the last couple of years we've had Red Dead Redemption 2, The Last of Us 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake, with Miles Morales once again upping the bar on sheer detail and fidelity.

Whilst the jump from PS4 to PS5 isn't as large as the generation beforehand, there are so many "top layers" of quality added, that elevate the entire experience.

One is ray tracing on home consoles. A method of rendering accurate reflections and in-game light in general, once you see the entirety of New York reflected in a building or Spidey himself staring back at you while climbing, there's no going back.

Texture work is insane too. Every last stitch of clothing feels belaboured on the part of the devs, and from powerful lighting models to facial pores, interior detail to particle effects, Miles Morales wants to show off what your PS5 can do, and it's a glorious thing to behold.
