You're free to lower the difficulty if need be, but even on "Amazing" (medium) this feels like a continuation of where we left off in 2018. That means knowing how to apply the correct attack method for each class of enemy, how to grab and throw objects as part of your combo, and how to forever stay on your toes dodging enemy gunfire.

I say this, because Miles Morales treats the endpoint of Marvel's Spider-Man as the new foundation on which to build.

Atop all these now-"basics" are Miles' signature powers from the comics and the Into the Spider-Verse movie. First is "Venom" electricity, a set of L1 modifiers that let you expend a meter to perform a high-damage punch, another for a throw, one to lift all enemies into the air and lastly a wide-reaching burst.

Second is optic camouflage, done by tapping Up on the D-pad. While this helps get you closer or around enemies when playing stealthily, it also means you can disappear in any fight, forcing a reset on enemy A.I. and letting you thin the numbers before trying again.

This latter use of camo is GENIUS, meshing the two sensibilities of enemy interaction even tighter.
