Can't wait for the new Spider-Man game? You could do a lot worse than to give these titles a go.

Being a Spider-Man fan in 2018 was simply fantastic. Tom Holland's Spider-Man appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, Miles Morales was finally bought to the big screen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and even Venom received his own film with Tom Hardy in the lead.

Perhaps best of all, though, was Insomniac's Spider-Man, which released on PS4 in the September of that year.

It was everything a Spider-Man fan could want, combining great web-swinging mechanics, fluid combat, a large open world and one of the best standalone Spider-Man stories fans had seen in years.

So, understandably, when Insomniac announced a spin-off game revolving around Miles Morales as a launch title for the PS5, fans were over the moon with joy. It hasn't even been two years since the first instalment, yet fans are eager to get their hands on the game.

While the game is scheduled to release later this year, you may be too impatient to wait around for the PS5 to release. If that's the case, why not try out some of the following games in this list? From open-world symbiote apocalypse scenarios to multiverse linear adventures, the following games are sure to scratch that Spider-Man itch.

10. Spider-Man: Far From Home Virtual Reality Experience

Do you have a VR headset? Well if you do you can finally play a game that truly makes you feel like Spider-Man.

While this demo is short, it's a fun and unique experience that allows you to swing around New York and fight drones and a huge robot. It may be the shortest game on this list, but you also don't have to pay to actually play it.

VR is still in its early days but this free to play demo is a good sign of what we could see expanded into a full game in the near future. Who knows, we may even see a full VR Spider-Man game during the PS5's lifetime.
