Star Wars: 10 Best Starfighter Games You Need To Play

8. Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter

This 2002 entry, taking place between Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, puts you into the robes of Adi Gallia, a Jedi Master who is tasked with testing the new Jedi Starfighter. A sequel to Star Wars: Starfighter, Jedi builds on the first game by letting players use Force weapons to supplement your ship's regular weapons.

You get a wide variety of toys to play with. In addition to the ship of the title you also get to fly TIE fighters, X-wings, Republic gunships, a few different smuggler ships, and the legendary Slave 1, the ship belonging to father and son bounty hunters Jango and Boba Fett.

The use of Force-powered weaponry adds a tactical element to the game; using the Force weapon control properly (by holding the appropriate button for the appropriate time) gives you an optimal attack. If you hold for too long or too short a time, you reduce the effectiveness of the attack and have to wait for the weapon to recharge.

With ten different ships and secret objectives that unlock new missions and fighters, the game has high replayability and is a worthy entry to the Star Wars flight sim list.
