1. Jar Jar Might Actually Be In

"Will we get to see Jar Jar Binks? Will he be a hero? Or maybe a villain?

Steve Blank: [laughs] Ohhhh...Only time will tell!

Matt Webster: Yes, that's a great answer Steve, thank you!"

Last one from that same Eurogamer interview, and although the question is clearly a joke, both developers don't dismiss the idea of having Jar Jar in the game in some form.

So, two things.

1. To an entire younger generation, Jar Jar is totally fine. They don't apply anywhere near the same level of seriousness to the original movies, and can quite comfortably go with the slightly racist alien rabbit... thing, enjoying the Naboo duel especially.

2. The flip-side is that this guy is next to Jake Lloyd's Anakin as the two-pronged pitchfork that skewered Star Wars' formerly stellar reputation dead (or, buried it deeper than the Ewoks had, anyway).

Including Jar Jar would kinda of appease both sides, being you could play as him or make a point of shooting his face off every chance you get. Quite honestly, at some point as a culture we need to be more 'okay' with the prequels for even more interesting stories to happen.

Embracing Jar Jar is one of the biggest and hardest parts of that, but search your feelings. You know it to be true.
