Star Wars Battlefront 2: 10 Things DICE Must Add
5. New Unique Modes With Greater Variety
Battlefront 2 has no shortage of modes, with more being gradually added throughout its lifespan, but there is so much scope with already pre-existing assets to get creative in new ways.
Just look at Ewok Hunt.
This mode pulls in a map from Battlefront 2015, makes it darker than The Long Night and pits Stormtroopers against the glorified teddy bears from Return of The Jedi. This isn't a straight fight but a survival horror experience, and players have to hold out long enough in exclusively first-person mode till the escape craft arrives.
So why not expand on this with a hero character Last Stand-type horde mode. In Genndy Tartakovsky's 2003 Clone Wars series, General Grievous was a sinister force to be reckoned with - way before he just coughed a lot in Episode 3.
Like Friday the 13th: The Game, Grievous could be the hunter, while other players run around trying to survive. Asymmetrical multiplayer modes - when done right - can lend themselves to hours of engaging replayability.
Also, who can forget the classic Jawas vs Tuskan Raiders from LucasArt's Battlefront 2? This needs a comeback ASAP.
