Star Wars Battlefront 2: 8 Things It Must Learn From Battlefield 1
5. A Focus On Melee Combat
One of the most interesting additions to Battlefield 1 was the introduction of different melee weapons. Instead of just having your standard knife to rely on, you could use maces, clubs and even shovels to take down your enemies at close range.
Obviously, the Star Wars franchise is even better suited to melee combat than the trenches of World War 1, so it would be a shame to not see this feature carry over to Battlefront 2.
While I'd love it if every class had the option to carry a lightsaber as a back-up weapon, it would probably make more sense if, for instance, Storm Troopers had the option to carry those electrified truncheons from The Force Awakens or if the Rebel Alliance could go full-on Rambo with the improvised spears from Return of the Jedi.
Either way, melee weapons would add a whole new dynamic to Battlefront's gameplay.
