Star Wars Battlefront 2 Reviews: 11 Early Reactions You Need To Know
7. Currencies And Buffs Are Needlessly Confusing
A major gripe that both players and critics have with Battlefront 2 is how confusing everything is when you first boot the game up. Although those familiar with the beta or who have been following the sequel closely will probably get the hang of things fairly quickly, the majority of players are going to be bombarded with information when they first jump into multiplayer matches.
Because between juggling multiple currencies, different tiers of star cards and a myriad of loot boxes to spend your money on, just figuring out the purpose of each of these features is said to be a major cause of frustration in the sequel. Likewise, it apparently sets you up for a loss, as you'll spend the limited currency on items you don't need before you get the hang of zoning in on what will aid your progression the most.
Consequently, although you can just head straight into a multiplayer match and ignore all of these different systems, you’re probably not going to get the most out of your time with the sequel. Instead, it will be beneficial to get acquainted with what each of these different features actually does before launch, because the game won’t do a good job of explaining this information itself.
