5. The Hero System Returns
Introduced in Battlefront II, Pandemic's hero system was an instant hit and it looks as though it's set to return for the reboot. The hero system itself allowed players who had accumulated a set amount of points the opportunity of playing as a key figure in the franchise - be that Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader. Said characters were ridiculously powerful but were offset by the fact that in order to continue playing, players had to continue to gain points on a regular basis. This meant (sadly) that usually only the best of gamers would get the opportunity to take advantage of the system, but DICE appear to be approaching it from a fairer perspective - apparently giving everyone in a lobby the opportunity to become the hero at some point or another. A fairer, more refined hero system sounds brilliant, and it'll be interesting to see how Battlefront's key element transitions to the current gen.
