6. Seamless Space-To-Ground Transitions
Before the world learnt of the development hell that Free Radical endured during their time at LucasArts, a number of leaked videos of Battlefront III showed some very exciting features - particularly one that allowed players to seamlessly transition between space and ground combat in one move, by flying straight through the atmosphere. It's no surprise then, that this much demanded feature is now well on its way to DICE's studios - though apparently in a somewhat limited capacity. Whereas Free Radical had this element in a number of maps across the board, DICE have elected to include it in a specific game mode - no doubt due to logistical reasons. This more than makes sense considering the apparent difficulties Free Radical ran into when making the cancelled Battlefront III, which were mostly due to hardware limitations at the time. Done right, land to space combat could make the next Battlefront DICE's best shooter yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WeX41WfOsY
