Star Wars Battlefront II: 10 Heroes We Want To See
3. Kyle Katarn
A cult and fan favourite from the Jedi Knight
video game series, Kyle Katarn was a member of both the Rebel Alliance and New
Jedi Order, and was the original stormtrooper defector.
Katarn has a long history that details his inner turmoil from his formative years at the Imperial Academy, his partnership with Jan Ors, before going on to become a powerful Jedi Knight. His broad background spectrum lends itself to a cocktail of different abilities, with one of his noted powers being “Force Absorb”, which would make all incoming blaster shots heal him instead of causing damage. “Turbolaser” would make him plant a static gun position on the field that can be used by anyone for a limited time, and Katarn would finally utilize “Djem So” (the fifth form of lightsaber combat) and draw his lightsaber to fight enemies with high damage output. His standard weapon would be a modified A280 that would be fully automatic rather than a three-burst fire.
Katarn is a huge fan favourite that has the swagger of Han Solo and the combat finesse of Luke Skywalker. He’d be a welcome addition to the Hero side.
