3. Akuma
Saying that Akuma must return as a character for Street Fighter V is like saying James Bond must return for the next Bond film - it's going to happen. Aside from M. Bison, Akuma is the most iconic villain of the series and the greatest example of how badass you can end up looking if you let the Dark Hadou consume your soul. It might come as a surprise to suggest that Akuma needs to return as a DLC character, but Capcom's stance on not including too many similar characters has probably ensured he won't be appearing until post-launch. Besides, imagine how much money his name alone will make Capcom as a piece of additional content. Scepticism aside, Akuma's absence from the initial roster means there'll be much more room in the initial 16 for the Japanese developer to make some new and creative characters for fans to get accustomed to. There's undoubtedly going to be a massive deluge of returning characters when the DLC machine starts up, and it's highly likely this guy will be at the front of the queue.
