Ever since Microsoft Flight Simulator was released back in the summer of 2020, fans have been wondering when Asobo Studio might add in more out-there playable aircraft, and alas, it's finally happened.

The iconic UNSC Pelican from the Halo franchise can now be piloted in the game, marking the first officially licensed fictional aircraft to be included in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The Pelican is of course a legendary vessel in Halo lore and, despite MS Flight Sim's comparatively realistic style, it still feels like a firm fit and snug feat of cross-branding on Microsoft's part.

Better yet, Microsoft made the update immediately available after the reveal during their conference.
