Super Nintendo Classic: All 21 SNES Games Announced - Ranked
10. Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
If, for some reason, Street Fighter II wasn't quite fast enough for you, Capcom released the third of their sub-set games for the title in 1992 for arcades (and then in 1993 for the SNES). And the result was so infuriatingly addictive that it completely distracted from the fact that the developer was just repackaging the same game and selling it again.
The Turbo experience basically makes the fighting game a completely different prospect to its slower elder siblings, adding a frenzied gameplay experience that unfortunately bred a lot of button mashing, but also encouraged fans to really master special moves. And that was particularly challenging at this sort of speed.
It's incredible to think it, but simply adding a Turbo option turned this port into the best version of Street Fighter II on the SNES.
