4. King K. Rool

King K. Rool is one character who has been heavily requested for the roster since the early days. The Donkey Kong series is lacking any major representation and K. Rool would absolutely fit the bill.

As a large character himself, King K. Rool would play very similarly to fighters like Bowser and Donkey Kong himself. He wouldn't have too much speed or mobility, although what he lacks there would be made up for with a huge amount of power.

As his special, King K. Rool could make use of his pirate persona and use muskets and cannonballs as his specials, as well as using Kremlings as minions that could bother the player and deal small damage. Finally, the King could use his barrel as a quick rocket attack, much like Luigi's side special.

K. Rool hasn't appeared much outside of the original Donkey Kong Country games and as such would make a perfect character to return through Smash Brothers.
