Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC: 10 Characters We Want To See

In the last few years with Ubisoft championing its flagships of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and all things Tom Clancy, Rayman has quietly been enjoying a fair amount of success with two solid titles in the form of Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, biding his time for a fresh resurgence.

While he’s recently been added to the free-to-play fighting game Brawlhalla (and featured as a trophy in Smash Wii U), Nintendo’s newfound relationship with developer/publisher Ubisoft (thanks to the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle crossover title) could mean we get to take control of the limbless hero at some point in the near future.

Rayman’s anatomy naturally lends itself to giving him range as a big strength, throwing his fists and feet to keep his distance from enemies and allowing him to ledge guard without putting himself at risk. His classic helicopter hair would be his way of recovering, but also meaning he would have a very slow fall speed.

Rayman has almost been usurped of his own franchise by the Minion-like Rabbids, more or less left by the wayside at Ubisoft, and he deserves a more starring role in Nintendo’s all-star fight fest.
