Telltale's Guardians Of The Galaxy Episode 1 Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

3. It Nails The Fun Team Dynamic

Perhaps the most important aspect for this game to nail is the team bonding dynamic between the Guardians, and mercifully, it at least manages to capture the essence of what makes these characters so much fun to watch and, in the case of this game, embody.

Even when the game isn't looking the greatest and the narrative isn't that interesting, at least there's a fun sense of camaraderie, as is emphasised during their aforementioned fight against Thanos.

In a sense the game is at an advantage to some other Telltale titles because it is basically leaning on the insane popularity of the MCU movies to give the audience an introduction to the characters, but it still runs with the ball well enough, and the talky scenes between the team basically account for most of the game's best moments (Thanos fight aside, of course).
