Background: What started off as a television series back in 1966 became a franchise that has lasted decades, including several additional television shows, a number of films, books, games and more.
Why It Should: Though Star Trek continues on the big screen, fans haven't seen it on the small screen since Star Trek: Enterprise concluded a decade ago. Despite its ongoing popularity, it seems as though no new live-action series is going to be hitting television anytime soon.
With such massive potential and a rich historical canvas for any storyteller to play in, Telltale could create a whole new crew to boldly go where no man has gone before, perhaps crossing paths - logically, at least - with characters we haven't seen in years. If anything, Telltale could also tap into the original mission statement of actual exploration and observation by the crew of the latest Enterprise, shifting away from the straightforward action-adventure tone the last two movies have taken.
Alternate CBS Series Choice: Nothing. It's Star Trek's time.
