The Elder Scrolls 6: 8 Things Bethesda Must Change To Stay Relevant
7. Continue To Grow Mod Support
One of the best things that the special edition of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim added to the original release, and the thing that made me want to buy the game again was the inclusion of console mod support for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Originally a feature for Fallout 4, console mod support took some time to be brought to Bethesda's post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it was available from day one with the Skyrim special edition.
Console mods for Skyrim have proved to be massively popular with gamers, and for those who exclusively game on consoles, is a great way to experience modded game content.
With how strong a move this was for the Skyrim Special Edition, and the resulting YouTube traffic (and therefore publicity and exposure for the game) created, it's absolutely crucial that we have mod support in The Elder Scrolls 6. A great way of expanding this support is that from day one, console and PC mods could be supported across platforms, allowing a deep archive of mod content for the game to be built, and available, to all players.
