The Elder Scrolls VI: 10 Essential Things It Must Learn From Skyrim

How do you top one of the greatest games of all time? Easy...

It goes without saying that as soon as Bethesda announced they were doing their own conference at E3 this June, the walls themselves cried out "FALLOUT 4!", it's been that long. However, although there's much to be picked apart when it comes to the franchise Bethesda took from Black Isle Studios, their own creation, Elder Scrolls, is arguably more anticipated, being they've always handcrafted every part of it from the ground up across the last couple of decades. So far their biggest achievement has been 2012's Skyrim, a game so packed to the brim with things to do, see and take in it was genuinely jaw-dropping. The world the team created back then had an interdependency all its own, giving off a sensation that you were a very important cog in a universe of possibilities just waiting to be tapped into. Going forward though, how do you top that? It's not a question so easily answered, especially not when you're the guys behind it all in the first place - having given years of your life to a project only to then be faced with the idea of pushing the boat out even further. However, although patches and gameplay tweaks were rolled out in the months and years following Skyrim's release, there's still plenty more refinements to be made before actually playing Skyrim feels as good as it looks - here's just 10 candidates for things that need a total overhaul.
