X & Y-Themed Movie
We do not see the English dub of this film until later this month, but having already seen some snippets of it and what the film entails, it seems to be a movie completely dedicated towards the introduction of the new evolutions and Pokémon seen in Pokémon X & Y. It's always interesting to see Pokémon of old be reintroduced, and I think that Mewtwo's purpose in this movie is pretty clear; with him now having 2 new evolutionary forms, they are using him as the face of the new mega-evo's. This will be an attempt to not only get the current fanbase on board, but to also get those who may have preferred the classic generation to the more recent ones. Also, aren't we on likethe 18th movie or something? How many are you guys going to make? The first 3 I thought were all amazing as a child, and every kid who watched it couldn't help but break down into tears with some of the scenes in Pokémon: The First Movie, yet with the ones I have watched recently, they all seem very submissive, with no real impact on the audience - they are more like spin-offs. This movie
could be the exception, because it has a sub-plot that reveals the new features we will see in the video game, with it expectedly coming into play with the anime series at some point.
