The Future Of Pokémon: X & Y

Platform

nintendo 3ds To no surprise at all, the game will remain on Nintendo platforms and, well, there is no real reason other than money. They have made Pokémon X & Y exclusively for Nintendo 3DS handheld devices, and I was kind of annoyed, as it would now require any avid fan who played B & W to have to go out and pay another £150+ in order to play X & Y if they didn't already own a 3DS of any edition. It is kind of a mixed bag really as to how I feel about it, because I personally don't think I will be going out of my way to buy a 3DS just for Pokémon, especially when the new line of consoles are soon to be released. However, I also empathise with Nintendo, as they are always trying to step the franchise up, and this is one of the only ways they can. Nintendo have pretty much always kept their cards close to their chest (see what I did there?), and don't normally let the big hitting exclusives see any form of partnership with rival companies. This is evidently because they know that this is one of their key bloodlines, so you won't really get any argument out of me here.
