3. That Incredible Red Dead Redemption 2 Medley

While there were absolutely too many musical performances throughout the show, the one that really proved itself worthwhile was the terrific Red Dead Redemption 2 medley.

Composer Woody Jackson led an outstanding, affecting rendition of instantly iconic songs from the game such as "See the Fire In Your Eyes", "Cruel, Cruel World", "Unshaken", "You're My Brother" and "American Venom", with Unshaken proving especially soul-stirring.

If Hans Zimmer's performance of the newly-composed theme for The Game Awards was a tad underwhelming and Devil Trigger was an aforementioned trainwreck, this was the night's only memorable musical performance (for the right reasons, anyway).
