9. Stunning Voice Acting

The Uncharted games were always marked out for their exceptional voice acting, which emphasised witty banter accentuated by spot-on delivery. This time, the developer has gone the serious route, and the results are no less stellar, crafting a performance-based experience that is easily on par with anything we'd hear in a movie. Developers are finally understanding that they need to hire both talented script-writers and A-list vocal talent to craft a compelling narrative, and here both are in tremendous abundance. There isn't a single vocal weak link in this game; everyone from the two leads to the most minor supporting characters with single lines give great performances, helping to convey the frustration, the tension and the anguish of this situation. As the earlier Resident Evil games have proven, even the best narratives can get derailed by awful voice acting, but here, they combine with outstanding character animation to make for one of the most human and involving gaming experiences to date.
