4. Instant-Fail Stealth

Nobody liked instant-fail stealth in the 2000s, they hated it in The Order: 1886 and again when Spider-Man brought it back in 2018.

Sadly, The Medium's encounters with The Maw are reduced to awkwardly trying to stay out its way, knowing that if it grabs you, a quick cutscene death kicks you back to the last checkpoint.

It's the same as these sequences have always been, and was the only thing to make me vocally say "urgh" every time.

Thankfully you can charge up an attack if you have enough energy - or expel some to get Maw to drop you - but in the former case, he can easily respawn in your way, instant-killing you again.

Mercifully, there are only a handful of times these encounters crop up.
