With a whole new world of items, there’s bound to be a little bit of confusion.

One of the cases where this is most obvious is with bypass shunts and mag picks. You’ll be finding hundreds of these scattered around Halcyon, but it can be a little confusing what you actually need to use them.

Bypass shunts are used for hacking terminals and are used in conjunction with your hacking skill. This will become more and more essential as you move throughout the game, and it usually means the difference between having to fight powerful enemies, or slip by them without fighting.

Meanwhile, mag picks are used for lockpicking chests and doors and are used in conjunction with your lockpicking skill. It may seem obvious, but it can get a bit confusing when you're using the items so much.

Considering how important they can be, both mag picks and bypass shunts are the only items you might run low on, but they can always be bought from vending machines or found around the world.
