The Outer Worlds: 10 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

4. Don't Worry About Morality

The Outer Worlds makes a big promise to the player- play however you want.

Thankfully, it mostly succeeds in delivering on that promise and giving the player a lot of freedom in however they choose to play. One way it does this is by completely removing the typical morality meter and just letting you make that up as you go.

Whilst there are reputation meters in the game, they’re more related to quest decisions than they are morality-based ones.

There’s no big ‘save megaton and be a good guy or blow it up and be bad’ moment.

This means that actions such as killing, stealing or saying hurtful things in conversations won’t really leave too much of an impact on your story.

Obviously, don’t go about killing all of your quest givers if you want to get far, but don’t be afraid to steal a plasma rifle every now and again.
