The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff: What You Need To Know

Paranormal Investigating & Sidekick Bonehilda

To become a Paranormal Investigator, your Sim is required to be max level 5. This career is only available to young adults and up, working much the same as the other available freelance and playable careers - except there are only three specific jobs to choose from. These are posed as 'Easy', 'Adept' and 'Expert'.

As always with the playable careers, you can send your Sim off alone or choose to play them. It is reminiscent of the Firefighter career from The Sims 3, or the Detective career from The Sims 4. Either way the Sim makes their way to a regular looking home where the inhabitants want to get rid of some dark apparitions - they can help soothe the spooky-ness of the lot by wiping up ecto-plasm splats, picking hands out of the ground and destroying dolls as well as giving some off-the-cuff ceremonies to scare the life out of the dead.

As soon as Sunday reached level 3, she summoned Bonehilda. She looks as beautiful as ever in her maid outfit, only missing her coffin. On speaking to her, the Sims had the same interactions as if they were talking to a regular Sim (except an uneasy trait as y'know, it is a little unnerving to be able to see someone's bones) and she will just mill-around cleaning up your mess.

She also spawned in feeling flirty for reasons beyond my comprehension. While cleaning, she left a bunch of food and drinks lying around. Even including the Shadow Realm cocktail which requires a Death Flower to make - handy for taking care of Olivia, the toddler, when the family were too busy.

Megan Robb has a lot of opinions on a lot of stuff, but feels deeply uncomfortable referring to herself in the third person.
