The Single Most Annoying Part Of Every Main Series Zelda Game
1. The Weather - Breath Of The Wild
Despite Breath of the Wild's legacy, there are a few elements of the game that are far from perfect. Certain equipment or recipes are so hard to track down, it's not worth it. You can lose the will to live while collecting Korok Seeds. And don't even get me started on that stupid ball maze in the Myahm Agana dungeon.
As annoying as these sections are, they are not necessary to complete the game. But there's one irritating part of BOTW you can't get around. The weather. If there is a thunderstorm, you have to take off all your metallic equipment to avoid being struck by lightning. If you are cornered by a slew of goblins during a thunderstorm, you have to run away or fight them while being practically naked.
But it gets worse. If it rains, cliffs and mountains become too slippery to climb. One of the most frustrating parts of BOTW is when it starts lashing down as you're about to reach a mountain peak, causing Link to plummet to the bottom. It feels like Nintendo incorporated this element so the player had to strategise how and when to climb but it just comes across as unnecessarily annoying.
