The Single Most Annoying Part Of Every Main Series Zelda Game
2. Fi - Skyward Sword
Skyward Sword had a couple of problems; the repetitive fights with The Imprisoned, the imprecise controls, the incomprehensible final dungeon, the fetch quests, etc. But the one criticism that comes up the most is Link's companion, Fi.
Now, another sidekick from the franchise who is deemed annoying is Navi from Ocarina of Time. However, Navi was really helpful. She locks onto objects, alerts you of each boss' weakness, and tells you crucial information.Fi, on the other hand, keeps interrupting the gameplay to give you useless data. Not only is this pointless, it ruins the pacing of the game.
In previous entries, sidekicks like Tatl or Midna help Link on his quest by giving him clues. In Skyward Sword, Fi will sometimes help Link by telling him EXACTLY what to do! That's not puzzle-solving; that's following instructions. Since this game is supposed to revolve around exploring and cracking puzzles by yourself, it seems like Nintendo missed the point when they decided to include Fi. Despite the fact she has a great design, an intriguing backstory, and a beautiful theme song, she's the most irritating sidekick in the franchise.
