The Witcher 3: 20 Characters Ranked From Worst To Best

17. Phillip Strenger

The Witcher Baron
CD Projekt Red

Introduced to Geralt under the moniker 'Bloody Baron', Phillip Strenger is a brash and boisterous character who holds a self-proclaimed leadership position at Crow's Perch. Initial exchanges with the character present an unpleasant but entertaining picture, though over time this becomes complicated and overly involved.

Geralt discovers that Strenger was a friend to Ciri when she was in dire need, and that he's having personal problems of his own following disagreements with his wife and daughter. He reveals himself to be a remorseful soul, but he never seems to learn from any of his indiscretions despite numerous opportunities to do so.

Before long, we end up with a look at a very Henry VIII-esque ruler - and we know how that turned out, don't we?. Sternger's life is a complicated and regularly annoying one, thought some of the moments Geralt spends with him are fairly interesting at times.
