2. Multiplayer Arena
Now that we've moved away from Geralt, why not allow players to test their skills in swordplay and your mama jokes in a competitive multiplayer arena? Of course, we already have Gwent, but exchanging insults over a card game is just not the same as exchanging insults while mashing buttons trying to chop each other up.
There were a couple attempts at introducing multiplayer battles to the Witcher universe: the early browser fighting game Versus, out shortly after the first game and down soon after, and the equally short-lived Battle Arena, an equally short-lived MOBA released between Assassins of Kings and Wild Hunt.
Third time could be the charm, if CDPR learn from their past mistakes and the successes of their competitors. For Honor might have lost most of its players to bugs and poor management, but it did prove it possible to create an engaging multiplayer slasher with complex melee combat mechanics.
With all its focus on swordsmanship and tactics, the Witcher 4 can do much better.
