5. That Magnificent Arcade Soundtrack

Juxtaposing to the very dramatic score the above trailer actually has, most of MIM's soundtrack harkens back to the turtles' arcade roots in the medium.

It's far from being the 8-bit anthems from Turtles in Time, but its electronic hard-rock focus certainly feels reminiscent of the cultural context in which the franchise attained its ridiculous heights of popularity.

Boss battle music is also appropriately heavy, getting players pumped up prior to one of Platinum's signature combat encounters taking place. Is there a better way to beat the shell out of some mutants than with a suitable hard-rock accompaniment?

Well, there is, but I highly doubt Platinum will be getting Partners in Kryme back to record a new rendition of 'Turtle Power', no matter how much we may secretly wish it so...
