Uncharted: 10 Jaw-Dropping Scenes We Couldn't Believe

3. A Tank Of A Task - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Uncharted 2, for all intents and purposes, isn't an overly difficult game, yet the lengthy firefight through a historic Tibetan village takes an immensely skilled player to overcome its obvious challenge.

After discovering German explorer Karl Schafer was working with the Nazi's to discover the Cintimani Stone, only to betray them when he became aware of its power, Nate and his new pal Tenzin return to the village, greeted by the long, unforgiving barrel of a fully sized tank. Sprinkle in a smattering of enemies littering the path and you've got a recipe for an intense action scene and an amazing Uncharted set-piece.

Nate was never one to ever feel truly in control of a situation, instead making it up as he goes along. An encounter with a military-grade destruction vehicle is never something one can adequately prepare for, and it's the unbelievably slim odds of Nate's survival that makes this encounter so tense.

The startling difference in scenery compared to our introduction to the town makes the drab greys, broken structures and plentiful pockets of fire all the more startling.

How could Lazarevic do this? Disturbing the peace is one thing, but doing it with an actual tank is quite another.

Fan of ducks, ice tea and escapism. Spends much of his time persistently saying 'I have so much studying to do' before watching Zoey 101 for the millionth time. Thinks Uncharted 3 is the best one.
