Uncharted: 10 Jaw-Dropping Scenes We Couldn't Believe
2. Chasing Through Madagascar - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Naughty Dog's commitment to epic set-pieces is on full display by the series' fourth outing, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. The glorious power of the PlayStation 4 gave the studio the opportunity to once again set the standard of how action should be delivered in a AAA release, and after a jaw-dropping chase scene through a bustling town and a marshy wasteland, the developer re-established their dominance in the genre.
The road to Libertalia is apparently paved with ruined market stalls and destroyed public property, as Nate and Sully race through the streets of Madagascar to regroup with Nate's brother Sam. The smoking tower in the distance is constantly seen through the windshield, yet the path to get there is rather less obvious.
The changes in terrain somehow never feel out of place, as the smooth transition from winding road to rooftops (I'm not kidding) is seamless. The level design is simply stunning as, despite its linearity, it feels as though the player is forced to think on the fly.
It's a chase scene that puts all other pursuits to shame, be it a video game or otherwise.
