Warhammer 9th Edition: Everything You Need To Know

6. Big Guns Never Tire

The last entry may feel like a direct dig towards the pointy eared races of the 41st Millennium. Fear not though as you no longer need to fall out of combat to shoot with your vehicles in 9th edition!

The ramifications of this on the entire battlefield cannot be understated. You can no longer throw a sacrificial unit into a battle tank and shut it down for a whole turn. True, you can limit their shooting options but the decision has to be made with more care than Operation Human Shield.

The downsides are that it will provide a -1 to hit with its guns and you cannot use Blast weapons in combat.

However, you can still shoot things outside of the Engagement range of the tank, provided you’ve killed all the close combat attackers with the other guns. It can be risky but may have a huge reward.

Dreadnaughts are back, baby!
