23. Odogaron
The second major roadblock in Monster Hunter: World is Odogaron. There are two reasons for this: the area you fight it in, and the bleed status condition.
Odogaron combines health sapping environmental hazards with savage attacks. If it ever swipes a hunter, they will need to crouch down and move very slowly to avoid taking a chunk of damage.
Once you get used to how this red beast fights, Odogaron can go down rather easily, particularly if you lop off its tail. While a hunter's first few encounters against Odogaron are terrifying, they'll soon get access to some fantastic equipment and valuable experience for later on.
