Siege battles in Monster Hunter: World are a little gimmicky for most players tastes and while Zorah Magdaros is an epic fight in scale, it's not exactly the most enthralling. No, that's not quite right. It's a waste of an encounter.
You also don't get to slay Zorah Magdaros, which kind of defeats the point of hunting it in the first place. The chance to make some of the best fire resistant armour in the base game is the only real point to playing through this incredibly boring and tedious assignment.
