Why Halo 4's Infinity Will Be Industry Changing Multiplayer

War Games

For this one, you sort of already know the drill. War Games is in essence in the combat you've always known from previous Halo games, just rebranded into something you can easily recognise. At least in fiction terms, this game type serves as training for the new Spartans as they set on a quest to the far side of the Galaxy, for a yet unknown reason. Whenever you're playing King of the Hill, Oddball or the infamous Slayer, you're in effect playing with your crewmates in a simulated battleground. Great news being that these simulated scenario's may well serve as a 'canon friendly' way to incorporate older maps from previous games into Halo 4, for nostalgia's sake. It's important to note that this is really the first time a major franchise has attempted to bridge the seeming void between the multiplayer and campaign component of a game. Games such as Call of Duty attempted to introduce similar ideas, but they simply did not relate at all to the main campaign, unlike Infinity. The Infinity itself plays a major role in the campaign of Halo 4, and upon completion of said events, you can continue to play as an S4 in an ongoing fashion. But here is where things starts to get pretty interesting, just beyond justifying why you're a Blue Spartan, and why your friend is Red a one. Click "next" below to read part 3...
