1. More Players On The Screen
We've been complaining about it for years, and yes, we know why it doesn't happen, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. Current WWE titles are only able to accommodate 6 players on the screen at once, as apparently anymore would render the engine unstable, and mean that other elements - the number of wrestlers and graphics - would probably have to be toned down. But go back to THQ's classic arcade-style wrestling game, Royal Rumble, and 9 players were achieved on the screen at a time, making for what remains one of the most enjoyably barmy wrestling game experiences to date. While the game's breezy visual style and arcade approach to play meant that it wasn't as demanding on its system, there's still the feeling that THQ could at least try and push the boat out a little more. After all, we want to be able to do proper Survivor Series-style matches in which six men are on the apron while two wrestle inside. We can dream, I suppose.
