2. Fighting in the Crowd Was Cool

In wrestling, sometimes the ring is not big enough enough for the grapplers. Sometimes they have to take their fight within the crowd itself, especially if the match has no disqualification and anything goes. 2001's Smackdown! Just Bring It was able to implement fights within the crowd, and it was a nice change of pace from the usual wrestling within the ring and around the ringside area. Other games such as Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 expanded on the idea by throwing in weapons and opening up entire sections where the wrestlers could interact with a number of different items. The more recent titles have since abandoned the crowd fighting. A next generation wrestling title could have more than enough power to pack in better animated audience members while also allowing room for the wrestlers to go over the barricade and fight in. Imagine being able to drag your opponent through a sea of fans in order to throw him into the arena wall or backdrop him on a table. Giving players more space to fight in helps keep the match entertaining for a longer period of time. Even the most hardcore matches in WWE 2k14 aren't able to get that extreme. The return of crowd fighting would be a gameplay feature that the diehard wrestling fans would appreciate.
