Rumours of Sting starring in the WWE soon have gone into overdrive, with it seemingly a question of when, and not if, he will appear. While time is running out for him to appear in time for Wrestlemania, it seems likely that The Stinger will feature this year, following the current trend of the company bringing back past stars and all of them have received tremendous support and promotion. With this in mind, the WWE will want to build momentum, to possibly feature him in the dream match with The Undertaker. He was a prominent figure for WCW during the Monday Night Wars too, so featuring him could be a no-brainer. While Sting certainly isn't an up and coming star, as mentioned earlier, very few stars in their first year with the company would ever be likely to receive such an auspicious opportunity as the cover of such a high-profile tie-in game. The WWE could want to buck this trend however, and by the time the game is released, Sting could be riding the wave of a momentous push and be one of the WWE's biggest stars. Sting, like Brett Hart, could possibly feature alongside one of the WWE's top current stars to help get him over a little better with gamers.
