WWE 2K16 Hands-On Impressions: 12 Things You Need To Know
9. Heel And Face Dynamics Actually Mean Something
As mentioned in the previous slide, players are given much more control of their heel/face status, which, in turn, affects gameplay in a number of ways. In MyCareer, siding with The Authority will give you and easier time of things, as opposed to the oppressive matches you're forced to endure if you 'cross the boss'. This also extends to in-game mechanics. Heels, like in real life, have all the fun, being able to perform dirty pins (using the ropes for an advantage) and use their managers for the cheap advantage. Xavier Woods accompanied Big E to the ring for his match against Finn Balor (whom I controlled) and Woods was a persistent little pain in my ass. Not only would he hop up on the ring apron to distract the ref, but on occasion I would lose control of Finn as he turned, distracted, to shout down Woods, leaving myself open to a power grapple from behind by Big E. This year's game makes the difference between playing as a hero or as a villain feel like more than just lip service.
