WWE 2K17: 10 Superstars Who Could Return To The Franchise
7. MVP
He's coming back. Don't let anything the former United States Champion says on Twitter fool you. He's coming back soon and will be a leading contender for a secondary title or two before you know it. Just ask Teddy Long...
The former SmackDown General Manager recently appeared on the Gerwick Report podcast and revealed that MVP told him that a new WWE contract had already been signed. All SmackDown's 'highest-paid wrestler' is waiting for now is to be cleared by WWE's medical team ahead of a return.
During the same interview, Long revealed that Shelton Benjamin would be returning to the company and since that has proven to be true, we can only assume MVP's comeback is on too. He's obviously playing it down so there's an ounce of shock value once it's finally made public knowledge.
MVP left WWE in 2010 and went on to achieve relative success with New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA. However, after inadvertently breaching his Lucha Underground contract by interviewing members of their roster for his own podcast, it seems that WWE's roster has expanded at just the right time.
If MVP was to make the jump back to WWE it would see him make the company's marquee game for the first time since SmackDown Vs. RAW 2011.
