WWE 2K17: 9 Major New Details Paul Heyman Just Revealed

5. Lesnar Terrified Behind The Scenes For His Commercial

Brock Lesnar Suplex City Major
2K Games

The Suplex City commercial that 2K Games just released very much imagines a dystopian vision of Suplex City as a Mad Max style city run by Lesnar with an iron... well, everything. But make no bones about it, that vicious monster you see flexing terrifyingly on screen is no construct and no fiction.

As one of 2K's own guys mentioned, Lesnar walks around the set like a "big scary beast", and Heyman (after some gentle mocking) said there's no difference between the Brock Lesnar you see on TV and the real life version:

"What you see with Brock Lesnar is what you get. He is a scary, scary beast and he is a beast in person the same way he is on television. He's not playing a persona, he's not playing a character on television. That's s Brock Lesnar: he's an intimidating, scary being and he walks around as if he is the conqueror. As if Suplex City is a real place and he is its real conqueror."

It also sounds like he was on a charm offensive too:

"Brock Lesnar was interviewed on the set of the commercial for WWE 2K17 and I've never seen Brock Lesnar say something that he walks away and says 'I wouldn't have sad that'. You put a microphone in front of Brock Lesnar, you're going to get a controversial answer, even if you ask him how he is today. People on that set put a microphone in front of Brock Lesnar's mouth and I think he demonstrated to a lot of people why it's better for all of us that he has an advocate because when Brock Lesnar says things it's completely unfiltered, it's blunt and straight and in your face and it's never going to be politically correct."
